Welcome! I am Steff, and this is my blog.
I’m a 27-year-old Jersey girl who has been living in NYC for the past 5 ½ years.
I have a passion for living the good life — eating good food, breathing in beauty, learning, loving, laughing and growing.
I am currently working towards a PhD in Clinical Psychology. And although my future career will revolve around nurturing mental/emotional health, it is my personal belief that it is impossible to achieve a truly healthy life without focusing on physical & metaphysical well-being as well as the mental & emotional.
This blog is an exploration of all facets of healthy living.

Some Wacky/Interesting Steff Facts:
The 3 foods I truly hate are: olives, cottage cheese & raw onions. Blech.
In fact, I am so insanely sensitive to raw onions to the point that if I am within 10 feet of them being chopped I cry like a baby, therefore I wear goggles when chopping them and look like a giant weirdo.
I was a vegan for about 5 years (ages 17 – 22), but am now thoroughly enjoying a more omnivorous lifestyle.
I’m a terrible dancer, but that doesn’t stop me from loving to shake my booty.
My favorite writer is Anais Nin & my rock idol is Freddie Mercury.
I’ve seen every episode of The Golden Girls ever made & have watched Return of the Jedi more than 40 times. I also am not at all ashamed of how dorky this makes me.
I hate capital letters and love ellipses…
…that’s me!

Hey, just read about your “onion problem”. Cracks me up because I have the same problem, I can’t even be in the house when someone is chopping onions or the tears start to flow and the nose starts to run. Must be a Lyon thing.

thank you for despising capital letters with me! it’s nice to find someone else who does instead of looking at me awkwardly. i also hate the letter “c” because it doesn’t own any sound. it just steals from “k” and “s”! haha i wrote a graduate paper on it(my major was speech pathology). thank you, also, for the gf pumpkin protein pancake! perfect addition to my new clean diet! keep posting!
i was looking for crow yoga pose in google pictures and one click after another led me to your website… i just think it’s so great when people are strong willed and go for what they set their mind for… i’ve always liked exercising but just recently have started being very serious about it and i have seen great results just in the past two months… i’m going to check your website more for the recipes for those delicious looking healthy foods!
