My 27 at 27 List!
Fitness:
1. complete an indoor short length triathlon (done! read the recap!)
2. complete a sprint triathlon (done! read recap part 1 & part 2)
3. do 3 5k races or 1 5k and 1 10 k (done! 10k – recap, 5k – recap!)
4. hold crow pose for at least 3 seconds
5. attend at least 45 yoga classes (44 of 45 done)
6. do an unassisted handstand against the wall
7. set personal distance records in running, biking, and swimming!
8. bike to Coney Island (done! read about it here!)
9. do a century (100 mile) bike ride
10. ride the whole Manhattan waterfront bike loop
Self-Care:
11. get at least 4 massages (2 done!)
12. take at least 25 bubble baths (28 of 25 done!)
13. read at least 5 books for leisure…this sounds paltry, I know…but my required school reading load is massive! (9 of 5 done!)
14. spend 2 days on the beach (done! 1 in Puerto Rico & 1 on Long Beach!)
15. go hiking a minimum of 2 times (1 of 2 done in Arizona!)
16. get 10 mani/pedis (7 of 10 done!)
Cooking:
17. bake gluten free cookies for a special occasion (done! read about it!)
18. try 10 new fish recipes (6 of 10 done – Caribbean shrimp, whole roasted branzini, pesto cod, mahi mahi tacos, chipotle shrimp tacos, Asian crab cakes)
19. use 5 new-to-me ingredients (done! – coconut oil, umeboshi, persimmon, halloumi, ostrich)
20. try a total of 25 new recipes (21 of 25 done)
21. host a dinner party
Miscellaneous:
22. get a new tattoo (done! see a photo here!)
23. participate in at least 1 vocal competition (done!)
24. give my blog a makeover (done!)
25. learn to change my bike tires
26. do a full day of community service/volunteer work
27. take a weekend trip somewhere fun (done! i went to Arizona!!)
